Phil Benford has worked in the Tunnelling and Trenchless industry for the last 18 years and has experience as a contractor as well as a supplier.

He started his career working for East Sussex County Council on highway design, construction and maintenance. He joined the channel tunnel project in its early stages of construction and then joined Delta civil Engineering as a site engineer working his way up to site agent during 5 very enjoyable years. He joined Tunnelling accessories in 1992

During the year 2000 he started looking at the Directional Drilling Industry as a natural progression for Tunnelling Accessories and after careful consideration formed T.A.Drilling in the September of 2000.

National Sales Manager Dave Bell has held several key positions within the Directional Drilling Field over the last 12 years. Having been in the engineering industry for over 25 years on both technical and sales side.

Dave has traveled extensively both Nationally and Internationally to such places as Germany, Iceland and more recently the Middle East providing technical and hands on expertise and support within the Directional Drilling Industry. It is this ability to meet the real professionals that has gained Dave the respect from both customers and colleagues alike.

UK & Ireland Piling sales Manager – John Walter joined TA Drilling in early 2004. John has a vast knowledge gained from 35yrs working in the piling industry alongside contractors and manufactures throughout the world covering operations, service and sales of piling rigs and horizontal directional drilling machines.

John has also worked in the offshore industry as a chief engineer operating large diameter circulation drilling rigs also piling hammers, this has been useful in dealing with contractors working on marine projects providing advice and tooling recommendations. John is well respected in the industry for his knowledge and forward thinking on machine development for future markets, and continuing to support his customers regarding their projects.

Kevin Burt

Product Support Manager Kevin Burt joined TA Drilling in Early 2006 after serving 12 ½ yrs in the HDD industry. Kevin has gained considerable experience with servicing & spare parts for various models of HDD drilling rigs and construction machinery equipment, and prides himself with his reputation in the capacity of intense customer care & support.

Phil Letchford

Sales & Technical Manager- Phil Letchford joined T A Drilling in Early 2007, He manages our specialist Mole sales, hire and service centre located in Barnsley, South Yorkshire.
Phil has been in the Moling industry since the Early 1990's and is fully experienced in the sales and servicing of all brand of pneumatic impact moles currently available, and is now looking forward to marketing the Astec underground 'Earth Pro' range of moles.

Ken Daly

Having come from a Plant Hire/Sales background within the UK, Ken Daly relocated to the Republic of Ireland in the mid 1990’s.

He got involved in Horizontal Directional Drilling in 1998 when he was involved in all aspects of sales, maintenance, and repairs of trenchless equipment. Ken joined TA Drilling in 2002 in a sales role covering the whole of the 32 counties of Ireland.

Paul Holliday

Parts and Inside Sales; With over thirty years experience in transmission products and equipment,
covering a wide range, including trenchers.
Lived, worked and traded in over forty countries importing and exporting from the UK,
bearings and ancilliary products including the USA, former USSR, China and thoughout both
East and Western Europe and North Africa
