Eclipse

The DigiTrak Eclipse® system is revolutionary for the HDD industry. It is the first of its kind to display the drill head location and locate points in a "real-time" bird's-eye view making it the easiest "walkover" system on the market to learn and operate.

The Eclipse also features:

  • Patented technology makes it both fast and very accurate.
  • All new systems are dual frequency capable. Older systems can be upgraded.
  • All transmitters are sewer grade with pitch readings in 0.1% increments.
  • The locating frequency was chosen specially due to the lack of interference present at that frequency level.
  • Programmable target depth and remote steering function.
  • Advanced features such as tension monitoring and magnetic steering tool capabilities available as upgrades.

Eclipse Transmitters

There are a variety of transmitters available for use with our Eclipse series locators including battery and cable units. Go to the transmitters page for more information.

Eclipse® SST™ Advanced HDD Guidance System

The DigiTrak® Eclipse® SST™ advanced HDD guidance system is easy to use, and it delivers quick and accurate steering data. The system eliminates the need for a DC wire grid and its lengthy setup time. Due to the small size of the SST™ transmitter, tight turning radii can be achieved.

The SST™ system monitors the tool’s compass heading (azimuth) in degrees and provides the operator with a lateral deviation (in degrees) from the intended path for quick steering corrections.

With the Eclipse® receiver and remote display, the operator can view real-time position and depth data. A laptop computer also graphically displays the tool’s progress in real time. It shows both a profile view of the bore and a bird’s-eye view of the lateral deviation.

Mark V

The dual frequency DigiTrak Mark V utilizes the industry's lowest frequency for optimum rebar penetration. Advanced circuit design effectively combats active interference and increases pitch/roll speed and range. Features include:

  • Dual-frequency receiver and transmitter.
  • Effective interference rejection.
  • Look-ahead™ locating provides location, depth, pitch, and roll of transmitter in drill head, in addition to transmitter battery and temperature status.
  • Target-in-the-box™ locating technique.
  • Easy-to-learn locating technique that leads you to the transmitter or locate point.
  • Enhanced locating features are built upon an accurate, proven design.
  • Smooth auto-gain changes are transparent to the operator.
  • Display shows real-time movement of the transmitter to allow "on-the-fly" locating.
  • Patented calibration procedure offers superb accuracy and the ability to recalibrate while drilling.
  • Remote left/right steering capability.
