American Augers 24-100
Dependability For Boring Contractors
The model 24-100 is a light, easy to handle unit
with rugged construction and dependable performance. It meets the
challenge of most any bore in the small to medium range, 4 to 24
inch diameter, and develops 100,000 pounds of forward thrust. Powered
by the 26 HP Lombardini 2-cylinder air-cooled diesel, the model
24-100 uses a rugged unitized box frame construction for lasting
alignment of the transmission and gearbox. We have never had a frame
failure in over 25 years of boring machine production. The low center-line
and wide stance ensure low machine profile and stability. Slide
rails guide the 24-100 on sturdy reinforced tracks. The rails pivot,
releasing the boring machine from the tracks for a balanced lift
of 2,300 pounds. Spring loaded track dogs automatically reposition
the push bar for the next drive. Machine controls and gauges are
clustered for easy operation. The machine has electric start and
emergency switch for total machine shutdown. The clutch and transmission
shift levers move easily without strain. The spring loaded spoil
chamber door protects from thrown debris. Vivid graphics guide safe
and proper operation. |

Jobs
This lightweight, low profile machine is rugged,
yet powerful and dependable. It’s ready for those utility
construction jobs from 4-inch fiber optic ducts to 24 inch utility
lines. It handles the really tough jobs with muscle to spare. The
Model 24-150 uses the DEUTZ air-cooled diesel engine. The maximum
working torque is over 22,000 ft. lbs at the auger drive. The high
volume hydraulic pump delivers up to 23 GPM to three 4-inch cylinders
developing 150,000 lbs maximum forward thrust. American Augers’
unitized box frame construction provided solid, lasting alignment
of the power train. We have never had a frame failure in over 25
years of machine production. The low center-line and wide stance
profile ensures a stable machine. Quik/Split design separates the
boring machine into units for lighter, faster lifts into and out
of the pit. The semi-automatic push bar securely locks the track
dogs for a solid push. Machine controls are clustered for easy operation.
The 24-150 has an electric starter and an emergency switch for total
machine shutdown. Warning lights monitor alternator charging and
engine oil pressure. The tachometer, fuel and hydraulic system gauges
are in direct view. The clutch and shift levers are easily handled
without strain. A spring loaded spoil chamber door deflects thrown
debris. Vivid graphics guide safe and proper operation. |

| American Augers 42-600G2
The G2 boring machines include a hydraulic/electric
clutch system that allows the operator to shift with ease and maintain
his presence while the auger is in motion. The machine automatically
engages the tracks when set into place so there are no hook rollers
to be fastened down. New hydraulic controls are placed together
for ease of operation and the machine thrust lever features a greatly
reduced force of operation while increasing the amount of proportionality.
New hydraulic pressure controls allow the operator to maintain a
constant face pressure on the cutting head.
The 42-600G2 is available with the standard winch or the highly
productive Quik Trac system. The new Quik Trac system is a rack
and pinion drive that not only allows the machine to move at a rate
of 77ft/min but also develops 10,000 pounds of thrust and pull force.
Using the new Quik Trac will increase the overall productivity of
your machine by allowing you to pull auger, add new sections of
auger, and push product into casing without the lost time associated
with dogging and connecting the winch. |
